Guided Reading

Rather than adjusting reading material, Guided Reading focuses on using intensive small group interactions with grade level material to increase comprehension and provides teachers with close observation as a diagnostic tool.
Session A - Teachers will learn the essential elements of guided reading and the goals for each element.
Session B - Teachers will plan and role play guided reading sessions. Including developing questions, identifying important vocabulary, and planning for independent activities
