This session focuses on using rigor and relevance to keep students engaged. By consistently challenging students with well-‐planned rigorous and relevant learning activities, teachers can create a learning environment which is productive and produces high achievement levels.
Session A – Learn and apply the rigor and relevance framework. Review lessons and assessments to determine where they fall on the framework.
Session B – Participants will practice how to move lessons among the four rigor and relevance quadrants. Using their curriculum, teachers create lessons and questions with higher levels of rigor and relevance.
