Blended Learning for the Classroom

DESCRIPTION:

Technology in the classroom use to mean hardware and software. With the explosions of on-­line and app offerings, blending instruction and technology should be a snap, however that is often not the case because of the overwhelming amount of offerings. During this session participants will learn how to wade through the noise and truly blend instruction by utilizing the three main components of blended learning and how to follow best practices and get the most out of a blended learning classroom. Rather than focus on the overwhelming offerings, this session focuses on best instructional practices to get the most out of all technology has to offer.

OBJECTIVES:

Essential Question – How to focus on quality instruction in the blended learning classroom?

  • Define blended learning and know its main components
  • Understand best practices when implementing blended learning practices
  • Explore some examples of successful blended learning classroom
