Curl Up With A Good Book Night

DESCRIPTION:

Curl Up and Read a Good Book Night. Parents will understand strategies for helping their students appreciate reading by modeling read-along strategies. Parents will receive resources and will also be oriented to Measures of Academic Progress (MAP) results and how to interpret the results.

Family Focus – Read aloud together, examine achievement data together

OBJECTIVES:

Essential Question – How does read aloud strategies and achievement data review promote an academic focus for families?

• Understand good read aloud strategies
• Practice reading together as a family
• Understand MAP achievement/diagnostic results
