Differentiated Instruction

DESCRIPTION:

One of the biggest challenges in an inclusive classroom is to create learning opportunities which are truly designed to fit the needs of students with a range of abilities. These sessions are tailored to give regular education teachers the skills they need to successfully provide differentiated instruction within an classrooms that have a range of abilities.


Session A – Understanding differentiation and the ways to differentiate using data

Session B – Nine specific strategies to use to differentiate instruction

OBJECTIVES:

 Essential Question – How does differentiation ensure higher levels of student learning?

  • Understand how to differentiate curriculum, content, products, and instruction
  • Apply differentiation techniques using specific strategies
  • Use assessment data to properly differentiate
